Our Worship Service:
Our Sunday worship service begins at 10:30 am. We consider it both a blessing and a joy to come together and worship as a church family on Sunday mornings. We believe that both individual and corporate worship are essential ingredients in the life of a Christian.
Centered on God’s Holy Word:
Our worship services are centered around the Word of God, the Holy Bible. In our statement of core values we state:
The Word of God is the focus of our worship services, the textbook for our teaching ministries, and the foundation of our daily lives. Whether we are preaching, teaching, singing, or just talking, we want to be people of the Word.
The preaching of God’s Word is central to our worship.
Empowered through Prayer:
In addition, prayer is highly valued in our worship as we take time to offer our praise to the Lord and also lift up those who have specific needs. We believe that prayer supports and propels us in our mission to be our Lord’s representatives to our world.
Enhanced through Music:
We believe that music plays a significant role in our worship experience as well. We practice a blended form of worship that includes traditional hymns along with contemporary worship music. Psalm 95:1-2 tells us:
Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
The Psalms tell us many times to sing to the Lord and praise him with music and song, so we follow those commands and make music an important part of our worship experience.
Founded on the Sacraments:
The Sacraments (God’s Word, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper) are God’s precious means of grace to us, so they are included in our worship services. We celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of each month. We practice an open form of communion. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior we welcome you to come to the Lord’s Table with us.
Join us this Sunday!
We would love to have you come worship with us! Come with an expectant heart, ready to receive good gifts from God, even as you raise your heart and voice in praise and thanksgiving to him for all he has done for you. Hebrews 10:24-25 exhorts us:
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
We welcome you to come and worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ with us this coming Sunday! We look forward to our time with you.
